On August 25, TNT China launched its 5th international gateway in Shenzhen, after Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Hong Kong. The new gateway occupies 1,600 m² and hires over 50 employees.

Based at the Shenzhen International Airport, this new gateway integrated the previous express handling center and depot customs clearance office. Not only Shenzhen’s local customers, but also customers from TNT’s Dongguan, Zhuhai, and Zhongshan office can enjoy the customs clearance service provided by TNT’s Shenzhen gateway and then have their shipments being transferred to Hong Kong gateway through road transportation before being exported abroad through the B747 freighter. This new gateway will greatly benefit TNT’s business in the Pearl River Delta, especially in improving clearance working efficiency and shortening transit time.
